New and Noteworthy
New feature: Recipe Importer
You can now import recipe details and macros from web links!
Import a recipe from a link to automatically populate its name, serving size, ingredients, preparation steps, and more. Simply install the latest version of MacroFactor, navigate to the Recipe Creator, and use the import button to get started.

MacroFactor supports popular machine readable recipe formats that many recipe websites use. If a website does not use a standard format, MacroFactor AI will do a best effort to parse out the recipe, so you can import from more places.
In addition, the design of the recipe wizard has been updated with a brand new look and the following features:
- You can now customize recipe icons
- You can now add URLs to recipes to remember where you found them
- You can now toggle between Recipe and Serving when viewing the macro and micronutrient nutrition summary
- You can now re-order steps and manage them more easily
- You can now re-order the foods within a recipe
New Article: How to Maintain Weight Loss
When people hit their weight loss goals, it’s easy to assume the hardest part is behind them. However, maintaining that progress is a skill with its own set of challenges. This article aims to provide a collection of skills to manage maintenance more effectively while hopefully making it feel sustainable.

Case Study: Hannah’s Sustainable Journey
Hannah was a 25-year-old aerialist and dance instructor when she dove into new motherhood. Once her baby was born, she focused on breastfeeding and putting all her energy into being a new mom. However, once she got the hang of things, she realized she didn’t feel as strong or capable as she once had and decided she wanted to get serious about taking care of herself, losing body fat, and regaining her strength.
“I did occasional weight training as cross-training,” she said. “But I didn’t take it seriously until after I had a baby and decided I wanted to get both my strength and confidence back in a sustainable way. I’ve fallen in love with weight training during my journey, and I’ve discovered a real passion for it — to the point that I’m planning on going back to school for exercise science.”

Case Study: How a Birthday Promise and MacroFactor Helped JT Moore Find Consistency
JT Moore, a 37-year-old husband, father, and public health professional, knows firsthand how important it is to take care of your health, but it wasn’t until his 36th birthday that he decided to get serious about his own.
“Throughout my adult life, I’ve had periods of physical fitness. I’ve participated in martial arts training, running, obstacle course races, and weight lifting, but I never maintained the motivation and dedication to be consistent. I would quickly succumb to laziness and bad habits, especially binge drinking,” he said.
